1. Vista Vallarta Golf Club – The Nicklaus Course

One of two championship courses at Vistas Vallarta, this is a public course, 18 holes, Par 72 with a length of 7074 meters,  and an overall rating of 74/100. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with either a 4 or 5-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

2. Vista Vallarta Golf Club – The Tom Weiskopf Course

One of two championship courses at Vistas Vallarta, this is a public course, 18 holes, Par 72 with a length of 6993 meters,  and an overall rating of 75/100. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with either a 4 or 5-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

3. Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta – The Greg Norman Course

Recently designed by Greg Norman in 2015, this is an 18 hole, par 73 course that is both public and part of a resort. Its length is 7326 meters and has an overall rating of 75/100. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with either a 4 or 5-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

4. Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta – the Nicklaus Design Course

The Nicklaus Design Course (also known as the Nayar Course) at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta is a public, 18 holes, 70 par course. It is 6651 meters with an overall rating of 71/100. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with a 4- star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

5. Flamingos Golf Club – Nuevo Vallarta

Flamingos Golf Club is the oldest course in the Bahía de Banderas and spreads out across a vast landscape with 1500 palm trees, hundreds of eucalyptus and parota trees and meanders through natural lagoons, estuaries, and marches. This course is an 18 hole, semi-private, 72 par course. Its length is 6853 meters and has an overall rating of 73/100. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with a 4-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

6. Marina Vallarta Golf Club

Highly renowned for its tropical landscape, the Marina Vallarta Golf Course is home to spectacular views of the Bay, many natural hazards including, trees, lagoons, and waterfalls and if that wasn’t enough it hosts much of the local wifelike such as iguanas and alligators. This course is an 18 hole, 71 par course that is part of a resort. Its length is 6573 meters and it has an overall rating of 73/100. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with a 4-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

7. El Tigre Golf Club

Designed by the Robert Von Hagge team, this 18 hole, semi-private 72 par course stretches over 7239 meters and has an overall rating of 75/100/ There are nine water features across 12 holes and the terrain has interesting elevation changes. Because it is close to the sea, the wind comes into play. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with a 4-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace, and amenities.

 

8. Bahia Golf Club Punta Mita by Jack Nicklaus

With some holes on this course looking out over the Bay of Flags (Bahía de Banderas) and other holes viewing Punta Mita’s epic surf spot, El Faro (The Lighthouse), the entire course is challenging with technique and accuracy the most significant factor. This is also an optional 19t hole set into a natural island green making it very unique and not to be missed. The Bahia is an 18 hole, 72 par course that is part of a report. Its length is 7035 meters and has an overall rating of 74/100.

 

9. The Pacifico Golf Course Punta Mita by Jack Nicklaus

The Pacifico course was the first of two courses designed by Jack Nicklaus at the Punta Mita Golf Club. With views of the Sierra Madre Mountains on one side and the blue waters and beaches of Punta on the other, it sprawls across 200 acres along the edge of the ocean. Definitely a worthy addition to the top 10 Puerto Vallarta golf courses. Although this course has a slightly lower recommendation rate than its sister course, visitors here tend to play both and have a hard time choosing their favorite. It is an 18 hole, 72 par course that is part of a resort. Its length is 7001 meters and has an overall rating of 73/100.

 

10. Litibu Golf Club Greg Norman Course

Last but by no means least this course on our list of Puerto Vallarta golf courses is considered a golfers favorite with a 100% recommendation rate. Designed by Greg Norman in 2010, it is an 18 hole, 72 par public course. Its length is 7022 meters and has an overall rating of 72/100. Some consider this as Greg Norman’s best course and is close to another big course in Punta Mita. Golfer feedback on this course is excellent with a 4 or 5-star rating for conditions, value, layout, friendliness, pace and a 3-star rating for the amenities, perhaps explaining why the overall average is slightly lower.
