1. Excitement at the Waterparks
There are 3 water parks in Nuevo Vallarta which is close to Suite Marine in Marina Vallarta so plenty of opportunities to play and have fun. Have a look at Aquaventures park for a huge array of slides and pools.
2. Take the family kayaking at Las Caletas
Perhaps one of the best all-in-one suggestions for fun with the kids in Puerto Vallarta is a trip to La Caletas. With Vallarta Adventures you can take a 45-minute catamaran ride from the city and visit the adventure park. The park offers pretty much everything from snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, cooking lessons and includes a petting zoo, adult relaxation lounges, restaurants, bars, and spa treatments.
3. The essential snorkeling experience for kids in Puerto Vallarta
If you have gone snorkeling before then Puerto Vallarta is a great place to try it. There are many safe places to test the equipment just off small coves or beaches. Perhaps suitable for advanced teenagers rather than kids, the jet ski safari tour will get your blood going!
5. Make, eat and learn about chocolate at the Chocolate museum
The Choco Museo is a little mix of Mexican culture, chocolate making fun and sugar. The perfect mix of ingredients for kids of all ages.
6. Zipline across the jungle canopy
In the 1980s, the jungle scenes from the movie Predator were located near Puerto Vallarta and now you can go ziplining in a safe manner across the jungle canopies. There are different lines with different speeds for varied age groups.
From December to March each year Humpback whales and other whale species visit the Banderas Bay as part of their annual migration. The protected waters of the Banderas Bay is a unique location for calving baby whales and mating. This mix of circumstances provides an excellent whale watching with many large breaches and performances. An excellent chance to cross it off your bucket list.

Take a day trip with the whole family and become a pirate for the day. The fully themed adventure provides everything including water, food, costumes and lots of theatrics.

As you explore the different zones in the city of Puerto Vallarta, you might find La Casa del Dulce in the Romantic Zone. Try some authentic local candy or buy some small presents for people back home.
14. Helping baby sea turtles survive
Each year local conservationists group together to help increase the population of sea turtles by helping them survive and protecting their nesting grounds. If you are very eager, try to contact the “Campamento Tortuguero Boca de Tomates” and ask them if you can participate in a scheduled activity. It is best to arrange everything before June as most of the activities are between July and December.

Puerto Vallarta is primarily recognized for watersports and water-based activities. But the surrounding Sierra Madre mountains offer plenty of outdoor fun such as horseback, hiking, trekking, and ziplining. You will probably hear about the famous hidden beach “Playa del Amor” in the Islas Marietas but there is more than one hidden beach near Puerto Vallarta.
